An Architect isn’t a luxury at the end - They’re a saving at the beginning!

When it comes to renovating an apartment or a house, many people hire an architect only at the end - when the installations are already finished and the budget has already been exceeded. However, professional interior planning should be the first step, because that is exactly when the greatest savings are made. An architect is not an expense; an architect is your control over budget, time, and the quality of the solution.

Proper planning prevents costly mistakes such as subsequent wall breaking, moving electrical sockets, mismatched wood decors, or changing the positions of kitchen elements. The right sequence is the key to a successful renovation.

FURNITURE LAYOUT - THE FOUNDATION OF EVERY CONCEPTUAL DESIGN

Every high-quality conceptual design begins with the furniture layout. Before planning electrical installations, you must know exactly where the bed, wardrobes, sofa, table, TV, and kitchen elements will be placed, how doors and windows open, and the specific heights of each element.

Without a conceptual project and precise measurements, common mistakes are inevitable: sockets end up hidden behind wardrobes, switches are placed behind doors, and the TV is left without adequate connections. That is why the furniture layout is the foundation of a functional interior.

SOCKETS AND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS - FUNCTIONALITY BEFORE ESTHETICS

Once the layout is defined, the electrical installation plan is created. In this phase, we plan the sockets, internet and TV connections, air conditioning installations, kitchen appliances, washing machines, as well as potential smart home systems.

Experience shows that it is always better to plan for more sockets rather than fewer, especially in the kitchen and work areas. The electrical plan directly affects the renovation budget, as any subsequent changes mean additional costs and a longer project timeline.

LIGHTING - SPACE QUALITY DEPENDS ON GOOD PLANNING

Lighting is planned in parallel with electrical installations. Ceiling, ambient, and task lighting must be coordinated with the furniture layout. The position of the bed defines the bedside lighting, while the kitchen elements determine the placement of lighting above the work surfaces.

The height of the suspended ceiling and the positions of the switches are determined only after a precise electrical plan is made. Well-planned lighting increases the value of the space and significantly impacts the final aesthetic and functional result.

FLOORING - THE FINAL PHASE OF RENOVATION

Flooring is installed only after the installations and rough construction works are completed. Otherwise, subsequent interventions often lead to damage, the need for re-cutting parquet, or the lifting of laminate.

Once the floors are laid, the assembly of furniture follows, along with the final mounting of sockets, switches, and the installation of lighting fixtures. This sequence shortens the project duration and eliminates unnecessary costs.
